Origination from Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, it was conferred the deemed to be university status in 2009.Jain University originates from Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC), established by the JGI GROUP in 1990.It was conferred deemed to be university status in 2009.The university offers more than 100 UG and PG programs in commerce, sciences, humanities and arts, engineering and technology and management.[4] It also offers courses for working professionals in the field of Business Administration, Engineering and Information technology.Jain University campus housing system can accommodate nearly 85 percent of the student population. It highlights the overall development of a student through various extracurricular and co-curricular activities.The Department also conducts foundation courses which help them to develop their personality, communication, leadership quality, interpersonal relationships, etc.The Department organizes intercollegiate and interdepartmental computer events which help students gain knowledge and develop a spirit of involvement and participation.Job Oriented Courses (JOC) and Advanced Learner Courses (ALC) are included to make the students excel in the globalized concept of education.The Final year UG students are taken for Industrial Visit every year to gain knowledge about the working environment of the industry.The Department has well equipped state-of-the-art computer labs and spacious classrooms which enable a healthy teaching-learning process. The Alumni of the department are well placed.
