Lakehead University is a public research university with campuses in Thunder Bay and Orillia, Ontario, Canada. Lakehead is ranked number one in Canada for research in the category of undergraduate universities. Lakehead University, shortened to ‘Lakehead U’, or ‘LU’, is non-denominational and provincially supported. Students in Biology at Lakehead University will learn innovative research inside the laboratory and in the field. Central aspects of Biology: form and function, cell and molecular biology, genetics and evolution, biodiversity, systematics, ecology and environmental biology.
The Biology Program will include active participation in national and international scientific societies and initiatives.
