The Physics Department at Carleton University offers a complete set of undergraduate B.Sc. Honours programs in Physics including degrees in Applied Physics and in Physics with the choice of Experimental, Theory or Astrp[hysics streams as well as joint degree programs in conjunction with the School of Math and the Chemistry and Biology departments.Research at Carleton’s Physics Department is focused in two key areas, Medical Physics and Particle Physics.

Our Medical Physics research is carried out at on-site facilities, at local hospitals and other external medical facilities, and at the NRC and Health Canada. These researchers are networked through OMPI, the Ottawa Medical Physics Institute. Our Particle Physics program involves experiments at CERN, Geneva and at the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO). Carleton University is a full member of TRIUMF: Canada’s National Laboratory for Particle and Nuclear Physics.
