Short Bio:

Om Prakash was very calm and composed student. He spoke very less but was a focused student in the class. He was a new student to the school from an entirely different curriculum and he did take time to adapt to the IB way of Teaching and Learning. He always used to have a gentle smile and showcased humbleness not only to the teachers and faculty but also among his friends. He was an average student in relation to academics but was always very sincere to the work he shouldered on to himself. In regard to co-curricular activities, he was very much interested in organizing the Interschool Football Tournament held at TIPS CBE. He carried himself as a man of few words and was a lover of the language Tamil.

College Info:

PSG Institute of Advanced Studies (PSGIAS) was set up by PSG and Sons’ Charities trust to promote high quality research in some niche areas of science and technology, as well as to create opportunities to PSG Institutions to collaborate with universities abroad. The thrust areas of research at PSGIAS are Plastic Printed Electronics, Hybrid Solar Energy, Functional Textiles and Health Care Devices. The objectives of the research is to create intellectual properties and inculcate technology based businesses in the thrust areas.

Course Info:

This is three year degree program with international exposure. In the first 2 years of study, students will do their courses at PSG, the academic curriculum being approved by University of Hull. The credits earned in the first 2 years at PSG will be transferred to University of Hull. Students should also pass IELTS with more than 6.0 overall and not less than 5.5 in each skill to qualify for UK student visa to take up their 3rd year of study. In the 3rd year of study students can select their courses of study from the prescribed list (and do the project thesis as part of the curriculum). After successful completion of the course, BA (Hons) Degree in International Business will be awarded by the University of Hull Business School.
