CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an educationalist and social reformer of the nineteenth century in South India. He founded the first Catholic indigenous congregation, Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), in 1831 which administers CHRIST (Deemed to be University).The multi-disciplinary University which focuses on teaching research and service offers Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programmes in humanities, social sciences, science, commerce, management, engineering, education, and law to over 27000 students. The University offers its programmes at three campuses in Bangalore in Karnataka; Pune Lavasa in Maharashtra and Delhi NCR. The campus is a living example of harmonious multiculturalism with students from all the states and union territories and around 60 different countries.

Course Info:

The Programme is designed to build strong foundation skills required in administering the Business Enterprises Core functions, including exposure to accounting software and digital skills in finance, marketing and Human Resource. The Programme involves six semesters based on CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) Model involving Core courses, Discipline Specific Electives, Skill Enhancement Courses and Ability Enhancement Courses. Discipline-specific electives offered in the fifth and the sixth semesters, namely Human Resource & Marketing Management, Banking & Insurance and Accounting & Finance, aim to provide exposure to students to deepen their understanding of concepts in the chosen electives. Students must undertake a micro project during the final semester, enabling them to explore research tools. In addition, students are also offered value-added courses in association with professional bodies, domain experts and practitioners designed to make them ‘employment ready. The Programme involves a plethora of Co-curricular and Extra Curricular activities which aim to hone leadership, communication and team-building skills among students.
