From weather prediction to drug discovery everything that is going to touch the everyday life of humans is going to have a factor of computing in it. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering started the Bachelor of Technology programme in Computer Science and Engineering in the year 2001. The programme started with an initial intake of 60 students. The intake was increased to 120 in 2006 and to 180 in 2015.The B.Tech programme is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University (KTU) from 2015 admission onwards. From 2001 to 2014 admissions the programme was affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University.
