He has a strong understanding of recent scientific breakthroughs and is able to tie them to the subject during class discussions. He will be able to achieve his targets if he is more focused.

Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering (MANE) is a collaborative community of talented people – faculty, staff, students, and alumni – rooted in a long and impactful history, working together to address the world’s most pressing technological problems. Our three programs are among the oldest in the US, shaping the practice of each discipline throughout the world. Our graduates include leading aircraft designers, the first woman to earn a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in the US, a pioneer in nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, an astronaut, the first woman president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, academic and corporate leaders, and numerous inventors and entrepreneurs.

Course Info:

Mechanical engineers are engaged in a wide range of activities ranging from fundamental engineering science to the development of specific technologies and systems. The students enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering program at Rensselaer learn and practice solving engineering problems, innovate, and target global challenges in a teamwork environment. A rigorous modern curriculum integrates fundamental-to-system concepts learned through coursework and hands-on laboratories with challenging capstone projects, and with product realization and innovation techniques aimed at solving global challenges.
