Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery. MBBS is a 5.5-year UG medical degree awarded to students who have completed the necessary coursework and clinical training in the field of medicine and surgery. In India, MBBS is the basic medical qualification required to practice as a physician or surgeon. The MBBS curriculum typically covers subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, and clinical skills, preparing students for a healthcare career.After finishing their 5.5-year MBBS course, all medical graduates must complete a Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) for at least 6 months.
