Short Bio:

She has been the spark in our classes that brighten the session at an emotional and intellectual level. Vishali has shown keen interest and enthusiastic participation in all the class sessions. An intuitive and caring person, she always ensures that her peers are appreciated and cared for. In her work, she has been sincere and punctual. She is open to feedback and uses the feedback to improve herself academically. I have also observed that she loves to be part of group educational activities such as quizzes.

Stella Maris College is an institution of higher education for women in Chennai, India. It is an autonomous college affiliated to the University of Madras and is partly residential. The college, which is under the direction of the Society of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, is a minority institution. The college is under the management of the Institute of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. It was founded on 15 August 1947 with an enrollment of 32 students in the intermediate class. Stella Maris was granted permanent recognition in 1951. The college has the unique credit of having initiated bachelor’s degrees in Western Music and History of Fine Arts, as well as master’s degrees in Social Work and Indian Music, at the University of Madras.

Course Info:

Stella Maris College introduced the undergraduate B.Sc Psychology degree in the academic year of June, 2016. Offered as an ancillary subject until now, the decision was validated by the overwhelming response from students. The mission of the Department of Psychology, Stella Maris College, is to “maximize individual potential by equipping every student with the knowledge of Psychology thereby bringing about holistic growth of self and transforming them into ambassadors for social intervention.”
