JSS College of Pharmacy was established in 1980 with a view to provide job oriented professional courses in Pharmacy, The College and the JSS AHER are accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with `A+` Grade. The infrastructure available makes the college a conducive place for academic learning that provides students with quality education in a clean, comfortable environment. JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru and JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty and are rightly known as the laboratory of the nation for Pharmacy Education where innovation and excellence are the hallmarks. The colleges have excelled in the triad of education, research and outreach and have distinguished themselves by being ranked among the top ten of the nation’s Pharmacy colleges by the national ranking agencies.

Course Info:

Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical sciences nationally and globally have been undergoing a paradigm shift from Product to Patient and the Pharmacy education too has responded to keep pace with this development. The Faculty of Pharmacy at JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research has always played a leadership role in advancement of Pharmacy Education and Practice and has been responsible to have introduced First in India programs through its two constituent colleges of Pharmacy Viz.

Pharm.D: The duration of the course shall be six academic years (five years of study and one year of internship or residency). The period of six years duration is divided into two phases–Phase I – consisting of First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth academic year.Phase II – consisting of internship or residency training during sixth year involving posting in specialty units. It is a phase of training wherein a student is exposed to actual pharmacy practice or clinical pharmacy services and acquires skill under supervision of a preceptor so that he or she may become capable of functioning independently.
