College Info:
R.V. College of Architecture (RVCA) was established in the year 1992-93. It started as Department of Architecture in the premises of R. V. College of Engineering (RVCE), Bengaluru. In the year 1995, an independent new building, specially designed for imparting architectural education was built within the RVCE campus. The department was awarded autonomous status and was renamed to R.V School of Architecture, in the year 2009. Later in the same year, Council of Architecture (COA), India, approved its current re-designation to R.V College of Architecture.In 2014, the college shifted to a new and independent campus and started operating under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka. Currently, the college is following two schemes: Autonomous scheme and VTU scheme.
Course Info:
The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) is designed to satisfy the academic requirement of practicing architecture. B.Arch is a 5 year full-time duration programme. It is comprised of 10 semesters. It focuses on the subjects from the fields of engineering, arts and technology to the professional practice of architecture. B.Arch is a generous mix of both theory and studio exercise.
