Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Science & Amrutben Jivanlal College of Commerce and Economics (Autonomous) is envisaged as a destination for the most talented and promising students, since its inception in 1961. The college has 32departments of which 16 are postgraduate departments with 10 of them conducting Ph.D. programmes.
